Celebrada el 12 de marzo de 2023 en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles, la 95.ª edición de los Premios de la Academia estuvo a cargo del conductor Jimmy Kimmel, marcando la tercera vez que organiza el evento después de hacerlo en 2017 y 2018.

EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE CON SIETE PREMIOS OSCAR
Everything Everywhere All at Once dominó con 11 nominaciones, y la película siguió ganando en la ceremonia, ya que obtuvo siete premios en los Oscar, incluidos los de mejor dirección y mejor película.
Al llevarse a casa la mejor película, Everything Everywhere All at Once superó a All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness y Women Talking en el primer lugar.
Brendan Fraser ganó el Oscar al mejor actor en un papel protagónico por su actuación en The Whale mientras que Michelle Yeoh ganó el premio a la mejor actriz en un papel protagónico por Everything Everywhere All at Once.
El premio al mejor actor de reparto se lo llevó Ke Huy Quan por Everything Everywhere All at Once, mientras que Jamie Lee Curtis se llevó a casa el trofeo a la mejor actriz de reparto por su actuación en la misma película.
En la categoría de mejor director, Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All at Once) vencieron a Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin), Steven Spielberg (The Fabelmans), Todd Field (Tár) y Ruben Ostlund (Triangle of Sadness).
GUILLERMO DEL TORO VUELVE A BRILLAR
Pinocchio, de Guillermo del Toro, ganó el premio a mejor largometraje de animación, mientras que All Quiet on the Western Front se alzó con el premio a mejor largometraje internacional.
Los Oscar de 2023 no fueron tan dramáticos como el evento del año pasado, en el que Will Smith abofeteó a Chris Rock después de que el comediante hiciera una broma a expensas de su esposa, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Pero lo más destacado de la noche incluyó emotivos discursos de aceptación de Curtis y Quan, así como actuaciones memorables de Lady Gaga y Rihanna.
